Definitely. Any SmartPhone which has Bluetooth 4.0 (or future versions) built in will be compatible with uLock. The APP is designed to be able to pair with more than 10 uLocks, such as "Main Door" "Back Door" "Room 1" "Office 1" "Office 2"... You NAME it. We really cannot think of anybody who needs to access 10 doors. Our goal is to eliminate all keys to, first, make your life more convenient, and, second, GO GREEN!
Being honest will establish the trust of circle with all our partners, including all the vendors, customers and consumers. The uLock connection is unlike other signals (e.g. the car remote control, TV remote control, etc.) which are commonly used today. We read the news and studied the papers. We understand that with a simple device which can be purchased online, the thieves can catch the frequency of the signal and mimic it to hack into your cars. Even with the standard Bluetooth 4.0 128-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and Counter Mode CBC-MAC, it is still possible to be hacked. But hey, trust us, those people who have the intelligence to hack into this Encryption Standard are most likely working as special agents in FBI and CIA. They will NOT waste their time trying to hack uLock, if you know what I mean. Additionally, on top of the Bluetooth Encryption, consumers can always choose to enable the function of the "User Defined 4-digit Passcode" on their SmartPhones.
No, you do not. With our Mounting Kits, regardless of any types of doors you have, uLock can always be installed easily.
Certainly NOT. Without the proper pairing process, other uRemote cannot communicate with your uLock.
How would you do it today if you lose your heavy metal keys? Call your family members and/or roommates, correct? So it is basically the same concept, you need to find one of your family members who has had the SmartPhone already paired with the uLock or has the uRemote. Or, in the next phase, you can simply log into our Website and control your uLock (Not available atbthe moment). We also highly recommend that once one of the tenants living in the same house loses the SmartPhone or the uRemote, all of you need to reset the uLock and re-work on the pairing process. Sounds complicated? No, it is not. It is actually 10 times easier as compared it with buying a new lock/cylinder and replacing it and then duplicating multiple keys for all the tenants.
It has the standard Bluetooth 4.0 range, from 0 - 50 meters. We don't anticipate that you want to control an uLock when you are 50 meters away, except maybe just for the sake of having fun. However, 0 - 10 meters is always the most effective distances. Just as your computer's WiFi connection, the longer distance you are at, the weaker signal you can get.
Absolutely. We totally understood your need. In the case of people not wishing to use SmartPhones, we provide Remote Controls which also have Bluetooth 4.0 built in as an alternative to control uLock.
In integration with Bluetooth 4.0 technology, our uLock does not require any power cord. Your house wall will look the same as it is today. With 4 AA Duracell Alkaline batteries, the uLock can last up to 12 months, if the uLock is operated 10 times a day. The uLock will also notify users when batteries are running low and, of course, a backup rechargeable battery is in place.
Hey, as you can see the Products, not only is it a Keyless design but also it is a "Keyholeless" design. Once you install the uLocks from inside of the door, you should never worry about the uLocks being watered by your neighbors' kids or by rain. In addition, due to this "Keyholeless" design, the thieves from outside cannot even see where the uLock is installed and use any mechanical tools to open it. In other words, when you look at the door itself from outside, it is really just a door with a plain surface.
With the high standard of quality assurance and reliability analysis, an uLock can be operated 200,000 times in average, which implies that it will live longer than 50 years if using it 10 times a day.
Absolutely yes, any locks you see today will be our products tomorrow. Our company name is "Automatic Wireless Digital Locks", meaning, our production lines can/will manufacture ANY locks. We are currently working with several property construction companies and are hoping that AWDL uLock will be the standard on the doors one day.
